Structure

In a blog post done in 2013, a kindergarten Assistant, Stephanie, explains to us how structure in a classroom is vital for good classroom management. Being organized and clean is one of the tips Stephanie gives us. The classroom should be set up in a way that the students know where everything is such as material. Materials should be placed in the center or near the students at all times so distractions do not take place.

another tip Stephanie gives to have the classroom schedule flow smoothly. Children like to be on a schedule if the schedule does not flow this can have negative effects on the students. If the students are on a schedule there is a chance of less mistaken behavior leaving room to succeed.

Having structure in a classroom is very important for classroom management. this could set the mood for the whole year and if your classroom set up to your students needs it will make the year go by smoother.  Stephanie gives great tips on how to keep your classroom neat and organized for your students.
